As Concrete Supervisor, you will be working on a prestogious mega-development on Victoria Island.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the production of 75, 2 metre square concrete blocks per day for use in land reclaimation.
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in assembly of precut wood and metal forms for molding reinforced 2m square concrete blocks, and pouring and finishing of concrete.

Lays out and marks measurements for assembly of new forms on prepared molding floor, from blueprints and drawings.
Directs workers engaged in bolting or clamping together of forms, in mixing and pouring of concrete into molds.

Candidates should have previous experience in a similar role.

Full Job Description: Our Client is looking for a Security Advisor. This is a permanent position, based in Nigeria.

Accountabilities:

In liaison with the Intelligence and Operations Staff, and other appropriate threat assessment agencies, identify and clarify security threats.

Be responsible for the implementation of appropriate security policies, procedures, and technical solutions.
Design and introduce appropriate risk mitigation measures to reduce exposure to security threats to ‘As Low As Reasonably Practicable’.
Confirm that fit-for-purpose security policies, plans and procedures are in place, and that they are reviewed and tested on a regular basis.

Effective implementation (including regular review and update) of the Security Strategy and ensuring that there exists a consistent cascade process into all project/contractor levels.

Effectively manage/support the response to any security related incident.

Through the above measures ultimately provide:

A secure environment in which staff can work.
Appropriate security guidance for staff on site.
Appropriate advice for visiting staff.
Ensure security activities comply with Nigerian law, and company policies.
Responsible for ensuring that the Security Competence requirements are fully integrated into the organisation.
Develop and implement the Security Audit plan.
Develop and implement service contracts where necessary for the provision of security services.
Manage contracts with commercial security providers to achieve optimum efficiency
Manage/oversee all security and access control systems used on site.
Introduce appropriate policies and procedures to safeguard all sensitive information.
Oversee/assist with the completion of pre-employment vetting and screening of all new members of staff.
Participate in due diligence checks of staff and potential business partners when required.
Develop appropriate policies and procedures to minimise and identify fraudulent behaviour by internal and external parties.
Establish and maintain a working network of security contacts from both the private and public sector
Complete security awareness training for staff and contractors as required
Engage in the development of security related crisis and business continuity plans within the Project and to provide specialist security advice when required

The successful candidate will, therefore, have to successfully work across business lines and with many different contractors, will have to gain the support of the leadership teams and will have to raise the awareness of staff and contractors to the potential security challenges without causing undue concern. The nature of this role is such that there will be periods when the candidate will not have direct recourse to their manager or another security specialist for counsel. The candidate must, therefore, have the personal attributes to deal with this exposure.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

High calibre security professional with substantial relevant security experience at a senior level.
Candidate must have strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
A motivated individual with high energy, team working skills, a "can do" attitude, and when required would be prepared to stretch personal and business goals.
Has the professional and personal stature to interface with, and influence, a wide variety of contacts, including management, staff, contractors, other security professionals, as well as stakeholders.
Is able to communicate and influence effectively within a multicultural setting.

Specific requirements:
Proven track record in implementing and managing security initiatives across business groups.
Proven experience at developing and implementing strategic and tactical level security plans in challenging and hostile environments
Pragmatic, consultative approach combined with expertise in leading edge security practices
Credibility as a business partner - respected by line clients with proven ability to gain ‘buy-in’ from teams.
Capacity to maintain focus and composure in a dispersed, risk intensive and diverse environment

Full Job Description: Our Client is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer. This is a contract position, based in Gabon, West Africa.

Purpose:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will assist the Design Engineer on all mechanical, piping and rotating equipment related design, engineering, planning and trouble shooting activities for all production facilities, new and old.
Take a leading role in the definition of mechanical and rotating equipment and facilities utilised within oil and gas production facilities for new plant and brownfield plant modifications and upgrades within the Gabon operations and play a key role in review of design deliverables and documentation from external design contractors and vendors during FEED and Detailed Design Activities.

Responsibilities:
Preparation of scopes of work, reports, studies and make judgement on mechanical, vessels, piping and rotating equipment engineering issues for Projects and Operations.
Review, comment and approve on mechanical, piping, vessels and rotating equipment related issues for design documentation received from design contractors and vendors during FEED and Detailed Design activities.
Vendor and engineering contractor liaison and management.
Preparation of installation and commissioning deliverables and assist in construction and commissioning activities (as required).
Responsible for establishing the equipment’s mechanical specifications, writing up and evaluation of bids and commercial offers.
Ensures compliance with company specifications and international standards.
Ensures technical integrity of static equipment design.
Develops standards, procedures and monitors mechanical and piping and HSSE codes and code compliance within Projects.
Optimisation of existing mechanical and rotating equipment and plant performance.
Provides technical guidance and mentoring to other less experienced Mechanical and Project Engineers in team.
Coordination and attendance at vendor FATs as required.
Ensures that HSSE is considered in all construction activities, and contributes to continually promoting, communicating, reinforcing the critical importance of safe HSSE working practices and in the design and modification of facilities.

Qualifications and Experience Required:
Extensive relevant experience working in the mining, petrochemical or oil and gas industry.
Knowledge of upstream oil and gas industry standards and specifications.
Exposure to vessel design.
Experience in vessel electrical power generation (distribution and user systems), in Feasibility (Conceptual, FEED and Detailed Design activities), in preparation of mechanical design documents (specifications and datasheets) and in QA/QC requirements for piping, vessels and rotating equipment.
Brownfields engineering modifications experience.
Experience in gas compression and centrifugal and positive displacement oil and water pumps.
Experience with gas- and diesel-fired engines and turbine.
Hands-on experience with operations and maintenance of mechanical and rotating equipment.
Must have good communication skills in English; French would be advantageous but is not essential.

The salary for this position is £450 GBP per day.
